The first OperaWednesday of the New Year featured highlights from La traviata, one of Verdi's most popular operas. The performance was streamed from the Sándor Hevesi Stage of the Eiffel Art Studios from 8:00 p.m. on Facebook and Origo.hu.
The sultry atmosphere of intoxicating parties, an unbridled life of luxury, sparkling champagne – and a slow but lethal illness. This was what existence was like for the "lady of the camellias" before her true love walked into her life. La traviata– The fallen woman. The truly sensational theme swept through the art of the 19th century, making a stunningly beautiful Parisian courtesan named Violetta Valéry into one of Verdi’s most famous heroines.
The highlights of the opera featuring costumes by Gergely Zöldy Z were staged by Andrea Kováts and Katalin Lázár. The title role was performed by Erika Miklósa, her partners on stage were Gergely Boncsér (Alfredo Germont), Alexandru Agache (Giorgio Germont), Lúcia Megyesi Schwartz (Flora), Tibor Szappanos (Gaston), Máté Fülep (Marquis d'Obigny), Anna Csenge Fürjes (Annina), András Káldi Kiss (Baron Douphol) and András Kiss (Doctor Grenvil) with Kálmán Szennai on the piano. The performance conducted by Gergely Kesselyák was narrated by Dániel Mona.
